Learning Objectives

Indicator: B7.1.2.2.2 - State the general idea(s) behind a story told in class about sanitation and identify associated vocabulary.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. State the general idea of a short story told in class about sanitation, in Arabic phrasing taught in class.
  2. Identify and list at least 10 words associated with sanitation from the story.
  3. Match each identified sanitation word with its correct meaning in English, Arabic, or both, depending on learners’ level.
  4. Answer simple oral questions that check for understanding of the main point of the story, using complete short sentences.
  5. Retell the main events of the sanitation story in 2 or 3 simple sentences, demonstrating understanding of its overall message.
