Indicator: B6.2.2.1.2 - Explain the need for celebrating various festivals.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. State at least four reasons why festivals are celebrated in Ghana.
  2. Explain how festivals promote love, sacrifice, unity and brotherliness in communities.
  3. Describe the key activities of a chosen festival that demonstrate its purpose.
  4. Write a short essay explaining the need for celebrating festivals.
  5. Present and discuss their ideas about festivals with classmates in a respectful manner.
