Learning Objectives

Indicator: B6.4.5.4.6 - Discuss with learners the effects of drug addiction.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Define drug addiction in their own words and identify at least three common addictive substances.
  2. Discuss at least five physical, mental, and social effects of drug addiction.
  3. Explain how drug addiction can lead to madness, uneasiness, and death using simple examples.
  4. Demonstrate communication and critical thinking skills by listening attentively, asking questions, and responding to questions during class discussions.
  5. State at least two ways to avoid drug addiction and seek help for someone who is addicted.
