Learning Objectives
Indicator: B6.4.2.4.3 - Plan a balance diet menu to improve performance in physical activity.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- State the six classes of nutrients found in food and give at least one Ghanaian food example for each class.
- Explain why a balanced diet is important for improving performance in physical activity.
- Plan a one-day balanced diet menu that includes breakfast, lunch, supper and snacks for a learner who takes part in regular physical activity.
- Justify their menu choices by linking each meal to the nutrients it provides and how those nutrients support physical performance.
- Work collaboratively in groups to discuss, compare and refine balanced diet menus, showing respect for different ideas.
