Learning Objectives
Indicator: B6.3.5.3.5 - Identify the capabilities of the various body types (mesomorph, ectomorph and endomorph).
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define the three body types: mesomorph, ectomorph, and endomorph, in their own words.
- Describe the physical characteristics that distinguish mesomorph, ectomorph, and endomorph body types.
- Identify and match specific sporting capabilities to each body type, such as sprinting for mesomorphs, long-distance running for ectomorphs, and swimming for endomorphs.
- Give at least three examples of sports or physical activities suited to each body type from their own knowledge or experience.
- Draw and label simple figures representing the three body types with their associated sporting capabilities.
