Learning Objectives
Indicator: B6.2.4.2.4 - Explain the role of the legs, shoulders, and forearm in the forearm pass.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Describe the role of the legs in generating force during a forearm pass, including the slight dropping of the hips and legs.
- Explain how the shoulders move forward horizontally as they extend to direct the ball toward the target.
- Demonstrate the rotation of the forearms through the hips and explain how this action contributes to the final force on the ball.
- Sequence the body movements (legs, shoulders, forearms) in the correct order for an effective forearm pass.
- Perform a forearm pass while verbally explaining each body part’s role to a partner.

Let learners swing their arms in preparation. Shoulder move forward horizontally as it extends. Forearm rotation through hips, legs and shoulders drop slightly. All together produce the final force to move the ball to the target.
