Learning Objectives

Indicator: B6.1.11.1.14

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Dribble a ball through a series of 5 cones while maintaining control and keeping the ball close to their feet.
  2. Kick (shoot) a ball towards a goal after completing a dribbling sequence, aiming for accuracy and power.
  3. Apply dribbling and shooting skills while being guarded by an opponent in a mini football game.
  4. Demonstrate agility, coordination, and body positioning when protecting the ball from a guard.
  5. Perform basic warm-up and cool-down routines as part of a complete physical activity session.

Exemplars (from the NaCCA curriculum)

Arrange 5 cones in front of a goal post. The last cone should be about 5-10m away from the target or the goal post. Learners in front with the ball dribbles through the cones base on their capabilities and after the last cone kicks it into the goal post. Learners progress at their own pace. Learners play mini football game in groups. Learners cool-down to end the lesson.
