Learning Objectives

Indicator: B6.3.2.1.1 - Identify two ways of making festivals beneficial to the communities

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. State at least four ways in which festivals can bring benefits to their communities.
  2. Explain how a festival occasion can be used to plan for community development projects.
  3. Describe how festivals can be used to settle disputes and honour hardworking people in the community.
  4. Discuss how youth participation and gender inclusivity can make festivals more beneficial.
  5. Draw a durbar scene showing chiefs and community members during a festival celebration.
