Learning Objectives
Indicator: B6.2.2.1.1 - Explain the importance of animal waste to plants
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define animal waste (dung, droppings) and explain what manure is in their own words.
- Explain at least three ways in which animal waste is important to plants and soil.
- Identify different types of animal waste found in their community (cattle, goat, sheep, chicken, pig) and compare their uses.
- Describe the process of preparing compost manure from plant and animal waste.
- Demonstrate responsible attitudes towards handling animal waste by discussing safety precautions.
