Indicator: B6.1.2.1.1 - Explain problems associated with adolescence
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- List at least five physical, emotional and social changes that occur during adolescence.
- Identify and explain at least four problems or challenges associated with adolescence.
- Use a Future’s Wheel to show the possible outcomes of risky behaviours such as engaging in sexual activity, drug use and negative peer pressure.
- Discuss how problems such as teenage pregnancy, streetism, poverty and criminal activity can affect a young person’s life and future.
- Demonstrate respect and empathy when discussing sensitive issues related to adolescence.
