Learning Objectives

Indicator: B6.4.4.4.1 - Écrire une carte postale à un(e) correspondant(e) pour lui indiquer des dates d’évènements importants dans votre pays

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. identify and name at least 6 months of the year in French and match them to the correct seasons (saison sèche, saison des pluies).
  2. write the date of an important Ghanaian event in French using the correct format (e.g., le 6 mars).
  3. produce a short postcard of 4 to 6 sentences addressed to a pen pal (correspondant/e) indicating the dates and months of 2 to 3 important events in Ghana.
  4. use correct greetings, opening and closing phrases in the postcard (Cher/Chère, Je t’écris, À bientôt, Amitiés).
  5. review their own writing and a partner’s postcard to check for correct month names, dates and structure.
