Indicator: B6.1.5.3.1 - Lire et comprendre un texte simple sur une famille illustre

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Read aloud a short French text about a famous Ghanaian family with correct pronunciation and reasonable fluency.
  2. Identify the key family members mentioned in the text and their relationships to one another.
  3. Answer simple comprehension questions in French about the text (who, what, where questions).
  4. Extract at least three specific details from the text (names, ages, professions, or places) and present them in French.
  5. Distinguish between family relationship vocabulary they already know (père, mère, frère, soeur) and new relationship terms found in the text (grand-père, grand-mère, oncle, tante, cousin).
