Learning Objectives

Indicator: B6.1.5.2.1 - Poser des questions et répondre à des questions sur les liens de parenté d’une famille élargie en images ou photos.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Ask questions using “Qui est…?” and “C’est qui…?” to identify family members in a picture.
Respond to questions about extended family relationships using “C’est…” and possessive phrases such as “le fils de”, “la fille de”, “la sœur de”, “le frère de”.
Use the vocabulary for extended family members (le cousin, la cousine, l’oncle, la tante, le grand-père, la grand-mère, le neveu, la nièce) correctly when describing a photo.
Distinguish between immediate family terms (père, mère, frère, sœur) and extended family terms (oncle, tante, cousin, grand-père) when asking and answering questions.
Ask at least two follow-up questions to clarify a family relationship shown in a picture.
