Learning Objectives
Indicator: B6.5.3.1.4 - Identify and use abstract nouns to refer to concepts and ideas.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define an abstract noun as a word that names an idea, feeling, quality or concept that cannot be seen or touched.
- Identify abstract nouns in a given text or passage.
- Distinguish between abstract nouns and concrete nouns (words for things we can see, hear, smell, taste or touch).
- Use abstract nouns correctly in their own sentences to express ideas and feelings.
- Work in pairs to discuss and share sentences containing abstract nouns, practising clear communication and collaboration.
