By the end of the lesson, learners can:

define an adverb phrase as a word or group of words that modifies a verb, telling how, when or where an action happens.
identify adverb phrases in given sentences and short texts.
form their own adverb phrases using words about manner, place and time.
use adverb phrases correctly in their own oral sentences and short written sentences.
distinguish between a single adverb and an adverb phrase (two or more words doing the job of an adverb).
