Indicator: B6.3.5.1.6 - Use the past continuous form of verbs to talk about actions/events which were going on when a second one took place
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify the past continuous form of verbs in given sentences and explain what it shows.
- Form the past continuous tense using was and were with the -ing form of main verbs.
- Combine two past actions in a single sentence using when, where one action was ongoing and the second interrupted it.
- Write four original sentences describing interrupted past actions using the past continuous form correctly.
