Learning Objectives
Indicator: B6.2.10.1.1 - Summarise level-appropriate passages/text orally
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify the most important ideas in a sentence and restate them in their own words.
- Identify the main ideas in a short paragraph of 3 to 5 sentences.
- Orally summarise a short passage of up to one paragraph using their own words.
- Answer guiding questions such as “What did you learn from this text?” to help them capture the key message.
- Distinguish between important ideas and supporting details when listening to or reading a text.
