By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- identify two or more events from a given text and state what happens in each event.
- compare events by stating at least two similarities between them, using sentence frames such as “Both events show…” or “In the same way…”
- contrast events by stating at least two differences between them, using sentence frames such as “Unlike the first event…” or “However, the second event…”
- work in groups to present a simple comparison and contrast of two events from a text, supported by evidence from the text.
- use a simple graphic organiser (a two-column or Venn-style chart) to record similarities and differences between events.
