Learning Objectives
Indicator: B6.2.2.1.1 - Read words with ending sounds like “sure” as in measure; “ture” as in creature and “tch” as in Stretch
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify and pronounce the ending sounds “sure” (as in measure), “ture” (as in creature), and “tch” (as in stretch) correctly in given words.
- Sort a list of words into the correct ending sound groups: “sure”, “ture”, or “tch”.
- Blend the beginning and ending parts of words to read aloud words like pleasure, picture, and fetch with accuracy.
- Write sentences of their own using at least three target words from the lesson.
- Read aloud a short passage containing target words with reasonable fluency and correct pronunciation.
