Learning Objectives

Indicator: B6.1.10.2.2 - Read aloud clearly, at a good pace and with expression

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Read a short familiar text aloud with clear pronunciation and at a steady pace that is neither too fast nor too slow.
  2. Use their voice to show feeling and meaning, such as excitement, sadness, surprise or questioning, when reading aloud.
  3. Identify when a classmate reads with good pace and expression and when they do not, and give simple reasons for their judgement.
  4. Work in a group to prepare and read aloud a short speech on a given topic, paying attention to clarity, pace and expression.
