Learning Objectives
Indicator: B6.2.2.3.2 - Create own performing artworks that reflect the physical and social environments of some communities in the world
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify and describe at least two physical features (landscape, climate, housing) and two social features (occupation, festivals, daily activities) of a chosen community outside Ghana from images and short video clips.
- Generate a concept for a short performing artwork (dance, drama, poem or song) that reflects the physical and social environment of a chosen world community.
- Rehearse and present a short group performance (1 to 2 minutes) that uses movement, sound or speech to show at least one physical and one social feature of the chosen community.
- Use peer review criteria to give constructive feedback on classmates’ performances and use feedback to refine their own work.
