Learning Objectives
Indicator: B6.6.8.1.2 - Give more examples of internet of things with a consumer part and an industrial/business segment.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define the Internet of Things (IoT) using their own words, referencing the key idea of everyday objects connecting to the internet.
- Sort at least five common IoT gadgets into either the consumer category or the industrial/business category.
- List at least five examples of consumer IoT devices (like smart speakers, smart bulbs, smart locks) and explain their purpose.
- List at least five examples of industrial/business IoT devices (like sensors in factories, farming equipment, delivery trackers) and explain their purpose.
- Justify why a particular IoT device belongs to the consumer or industrial/business segment, giving a reason for their choice.
