Learning Objectives

Indicator: B6.6.7.1.2 - Illustrate how to reply to and forward received messages.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  • Explain the difference between replying to and forwarding a received email message.
  • Identify and locate the Reply, Reply All, and Forward buttons in an email interface.
  • Demonstrate how to reply to a received message, including adding their own text above or below the original message.
  • Demonstrate how to forward a received message to another recipient and explain when forwarding is appropriate.
  • Apply correct email etiquette when replying and forwarding, such as writing a short greeting and keeping the subject line appropriate.
