Learning Objectives

Indicator: B6.6.5.1.5 - Discuss more about security on the form submission.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify at least three security risks associated with submitting personal information through online forms.
  2. Explain why antivirus software, strong passwords, and caution with credit card details are important when filling forms online.
  3. Recognise signs of an insecure or suspicious online form (such as missing “https” or requests for unnecessary personal details).
  4. Demonstrate safe practices for submitting forms, including checking the website address and avoiding public computers for sensitive information.
  5. Discuss with a partner what to do if they suspect their personal details have been compromised online.
