Learning Objectives

Indicator: B6.6.3.1.2 - Illustrate how to jump directory to URLs.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Explain what a directory path in a URL is, using the forward slash (/) to separate folders.
  2. Identify different parts of a URL, including the protocol, domain name, and directory levels.
  3. Demonstrate how to jump directly to a specific directory by typing or editing a URL in the address bar.
  4. Predict what will appear when moving up or down a directory in a website.
  5. Carry out a simple project to locate files in different directories of a given site and record their findings.
