Learning Objectives
Indicator: B6.6.3.1.1 - Recognize resource locators (URLs).
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define URL (Uniform Resource Locator) in their own words.
- Identify the main parts of a URL, including the protocol, domain name and path.
- Recognize a valid URL when they see one and distinguish it from ordinary text or a search term.
- Read and pronounce common URL endings such as .com, .org, .gh, .edu and .gov.
- Explain why every resource on the web needs its own unique URL.
