Learning Objectives

Indicator: B6.6.1.1.2 - Describe the types of information available on the Internet.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Name at least four different types of information available on the Internet (educational, financial, entertainment, news, health, and others).
  2. Describe each type of information with at least one specific example of a website or online service that provides it.
  3. Sort a list of given websites or online activities into the correct type of information category.
  4. Work in groups to present a short talk describing one type of Internet information and why it is useful.
  5. Explain why it is important to check whether information found online is true before using it.
