Learning Objectives

Indicator: B6.2.1.1.2 - Demonstrate how to use icons in the Text group in the Insert Ribbon.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify the Text group icons in the Insert Ribbon of MS-PowerPoint and state the function of each one.
  2. Insert a text box into a blank slide and type text into it.
  3. Insert WordArt into a slide and apply a chosen style to it.
  4. Insert a header and footer into a slide, being able to distinguish between the two.
  5. Add a text box, WordArt, or header/footer to a short presentation slide, saving the work afterwards.
