Learning Objectives

Indicator: B6.1.3.1.9 - Demonstrate data presentation in different forms.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify at least four different forms of presenting data (tables, pictures, charts, maps, and words).
  2. Convert a given set of data from one form (e.g., words) into another form (e.g., a table or chart).
  3. Create a simple table and a bar chart using paper and pencil, and explain what each form shows clearly.
  4. Enter data into a spreadsheet application (if a computer is available) or simulate a spreadsheet on a paper grid, and present the data in a table format.
  5. Choose the most appropriate form of presentation for a given type of data and justify their choice.
