Indicator: B6.1.3.1.2 - Identify more sources of data and information e.g. internet (emailing, Skype, SMS etc.)
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Name at least four sources of data and information beyond their school textbooks, including the internet, email, Skype, SMS, radio, and newspapers.
- Explain in their own words how email, Skype and SMS are used to send and receive data and information.
- Match each type of information (news, personal message, video call, weather report) to its most appropriate source.
- State one advantage and one limitation of using the internet as a source of data.
- Sort a given list of data sources into traditional (offline) and modern (online) categories.
