Learning Objectives
Indicator: B6.1.3.1.1 - Identify types of data. (Integers, double, characters, float etc.)
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define data and distinguish it from information.
- Identify and name at least four types of data: integers, floats (doubles), characters, and Boolean (true/false).
- Sort given examples into the correct data type categories (e.g. age, height, name, yes/no response).
- Record real-life data samples in their correct forms as integers, floats, characters, or Boolean values.
- Explain in their own words why a computer treats different types of data differently.
