Learning Objectives
Indicator: B6.1.2.1.6 - Locate the hard drives, and other removable storage icons in the File explorer.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify the hard drive icon and at least two removable storage icons in the File Explorer window.
- Open File Explorer and locate the “This PC” option to view all storage devices connected to the computer.
- Distinguish between the local hard drive (usually labelled C:) and removable storage devices (such as USB drives, labelled D:, E:, or F:).
- Describe in their own words the function of hard drives and removable storage devices.
- Demonstrate how to safely view the contents of a removable storage device by clicking its icon in File Explorer.
