Learning Objectives

Indicator: B6.1.2.1.2 - Demonstrate the use of the Recycle Bin or Trash Can.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify the Recycle Bin icon on the desktop and state its purpose in their own words.
  2. Delete a file or folder and locate the deleted item inside the Recycle Bin.
  3. View the contents of the Recycle Bin and describe the information shown for each deleted item.
  4. Distinguish between deleting a file (which sends it to the Recycle Bin) and permanently removing it (which they will cover in the next lesson).
  5. Explain why the Recycle Bin is useful as a safety net for accidentally deleted files.
