Learning Objectives
Indicator: B5.3.5.3.5 - Identify the capabilities of the various body types.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Name the three main body types (ectomorph, endomorph, mesomorph) and describe at least two physical characteristics of each.
- Match each body type to its typical capabilities in physical activities, such as endurance running, strength lifting, or sprinting.
- Explain in simple terms why a person’s body type can influence the kind of physical activities they may find easier or harder.
- Observe and classify their own body type respectfully without teasing or judging others, using the key characteristics learned.
- Suggest at least one suitable physical activity for each body type based on its strengths.

There are three main body types: Ectomorph, Endomorph and Mesomorph. Ectomorph: Learn and long with difficulty to build muscles Endomorph : Big, high body fats, round in shape and high tendency to store body fats Mesomorph: Muscular and well built, high metabolism and responsive muscle cell.
