Learning Objectives
Indicator: B5.2.5.2.5 - Distinguish between volleying and kicking and describe the similarities and differences.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define volleying as striking a ball before it touches the ground and kicking as striking a ball from the ground.
- Identify at least two sports where volleying is common and two sports where kicking is common.
- Describe at least two similarities between volleying and kicking.
- Describe at least two differences between volleying and kicking.
- Demonstrate each skill physically and explain when each technique is most appropriate during a game.
