Indicator: B5.2.4.1.1 - Explain the features of rural settlements

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify at least four features of a rural settlement from pictures and descriptions.
  2. Explain why rural settlements have small populations and few buildings.
  3. Compare the features of rural settlements with those of urban settlements using a simple table.
  4. Describe the main economic activities carried out in rural settlements in Ghana.
  5. Draw a simple picture of a rural settlement showing at least three of its features.
