Indicator: B5.2.1.3.1 - Describe the shape of the earth
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- State that the earth is round, like a ball or sphere, and not flat.
- Describe evidence from everyday observations that shows the earth is round.
- Identify the earth’s axis and describe its tilted position.
- Sketch the globe to show its shape and the tilt of its axis.
- Explain how the shape of the earth affects what we see when ships approach or leave the shore.
