Learning Objectives

Indicator: B5.2.1.1.2 - Describe some ancient towns in Ghana.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

List at least six ancient towns in Ghana from the period before the 15th century, including Begho, Bono-Manso, Dawhenya, Eguafo, Kintampo, Salaga, and Daboya.
Locate these ancient towns on a map of Ghana and describe the region or area where each is found.
Describe at least one key feature or activity associated with each ancient town, such as trade, craftwork, or salt production.
Compare life in one ancient town with life in a modern Ghanaian town, identifying at least two differences.
Present information about an ancient town to the class, using pictures or drawings, building on the skills of sharing and discussion introduced in the previous week.
