Learning Objectives

Indicator: B5.4.3.4.1 - Écrire ce que l’on fait chaque jour de la semaine

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

1. Recall and write the seven days of the week in French in the correct order with correct spelling (lundi, mardi, mercredi, jeudi, vendredi, samedi, dimanche).
2. Write at least five sentences describing what they do on different days of the week, using the structure “Le [day], je [verb phrase]” (e.g., Le lundi, je vais à l’école).
3. Use the correct day vocabulary in written sentences to describe weekly routines from their own lives.
4. Produce a short written diary entry (4 to 6 sentences) covering activities across the week, using the days of the week and appropriate action verbs.
5. Apply correct punctuation and capitalisation rules for days of the week in French (days are not capitalised unless they start a sentence).

Building on the listening, speaking and reading work from Terms 2 and 3, this lesson moves learners to written production as the final step in the sequence. It assumes learners can already say and recognise the days orally; the focus here is writing them correctly in connected sentences.
