Learning Objectives

Indicator: B5.4.2.1.1 - Écouter/Regarder et comprendre un document audio-visuel sur les horaires simples

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify and understand the key French terms for telling time (heures, minutes, moins, et quart, et demie) when heard in an audio-visual document.
  2. Listen to and extract the opening and closing hours of a restaurant, shop, or other public place from a short audio or video clip.
  3. Match times heard in a recording (e.g., “le film commence à dix-neuf heures”) to a written schedule or programme.
  4. Answer simple oral comprehension questions (Oui/Non and Wh-questions) about the times given in an audio-visual document.
  5. Say what time an activity or event begins and ends, based on what they heard, using the phrase “à … heures” (e.g., “Le restaurant ouvre à neuf heures”).
