Learning Objectives

Indicator: B5.2.1.4.1 - Décrire les pièces de sa maison

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify and name at least six main rooms of a house in French (la salle, la chambre à coucher, la cuisine, la salle de bains, les toilettes, le salon).
  2. Write 3 to 5 complete sentences describing the rooms in their own house, using the structures “Il y a…” and “La salle est grande et éclairée”.
  3. Use appropriate adjectives (grande, petite, éclairée, propre, belle) correctly to describe rooms, matching masculine and feminine forms where applicable.
  4. Produce a short written paragraph (5 to 7 sentences) describing the rooms of a house, building on the listening, speaking and reading skills developed in Weeks 10 and 11.
