Learning Objectives

Indicator: B5.1.5.4.2 - Décrire les membres de sa famille nucléaire et leurs professions

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify and write the French names of at least five members of the nuclear family (père, mère, frère, sœur, bébé) with correct spelling.
  2. Write the French names of common professions (médecin, instituteur, infirmière, commerçant, etc.) associated with family members.
  3. Write 3 to 5 complete sentences describing members of their nuclear family using the structure “Mon père est…”, “Ma mère est…”, “Mon frère est…”.
  4. Use the correct possessive adjectives (mon, ma) with family nouns based on gender.
  5. Produce a short written description (40 to 60 words) of their nuclear family based on a real photo, naming each member and their profession.
