Learning Objectives

Indicator: B5.1.3.4.1 - Écrire une carte postale à un(e) correspondant(e) pour lui présenter quelqu’un : âge, profession/occupation, son adresse

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify the key parts of a postcard in French (greeting, message, closing, address).
  2. Write a simple postcard message of 4 to 6 sentences introducing a person, including their age, profession/occupation and address.
  3. Use the correct forms of verbs and expressions such as “Je te présente”, “Il/Elle s’appelle”, “Il/Elle a … ans”, “Il/Elle est …”, “Il/Elle habite à …” accurately in writing.
  4. Address the postcard correctly using the formula “Cher/Chère + prénom” and signing off with a simple closing like “À bientôt” or “Grosses bises”.
  5. Exchange postcards with a partner and check that all three required pieces of information (age, profession/occupation, address) are present.
