Learning Objectives
Indicator: B5.6.1.1.1 - Read a variety of age- and level appropriate books and present at least a-three-paragraph summary of each book read
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Select an age- and level-appropriate book of their choice from the class library or their personal collection.
- Read independently for at least 20 minutes during the library period and track their reading progress.
- Write a three-paragraph summary of the book read, covering the beginning, middle, and end of the story.
- Present their summary orally to the class with clarity and confidence.
- Give and receive constructive feedback on summaries using a simple peer feedback checklist.
