By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Identify the simple past form of regular and common irregular verbs in a given passage.
Use the simple past verb form correctly to write at least three sentences expressing needs they had in the past.
Use the simple past verb form correctly to write at least three sentences expressing feelings they had in the past.
Use the simple past verb form correctly to write at least three sentences expressing interests they had in the past.
Write a short paragraph (5 to 7 sentences) about what happened after school on a chosen day, using the simple past form consistently.
