Learning Objectives
Indicator: B5.2.3.1.2 - Use words with digraphs to make meaningful sentences
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify words containing the digraphs wh and th in both initial and end positions from a given text.
- Pronounce at least 10 words containing the digraphs wh and th correctly.
- Use words with the digraph th (e.g. that, those, these, with, sixth, teeth) to construct meaningful sentences.
- Use words with the digraph wh (e.g. what, when, which, where, why) to construct meaningful questions and statements.
- Work in groups to produce and present sentences using digraph words, demonstrating collaboration and communication.

- Revise the activity in B5.2.3.1.1 and show the chart containing words. Let learners think-pair-share and select a paragraph with words containing digraphs e.g. wh, th, both at initial and end positions e.g. that, those, these, with, sixth, teeth. - Put learners into groups. Let them identify and read words containing digraphs and use them in sentences. - The group that produces ten words and uses them in sentences correctly is the winner.
