Learning Objectives

Indicator: B5.1.10.3.4 - Support ideas and points of view by integrating selected visual and audio resources, verbal and non-verbal cues (e.g. gestures, facial expressions)

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Identify at least three types of visual resources (pictures, charts, objects) and two types of audio resources (recorded sounds, music) that can support a spoken presentation.
Demonstrate at least two verbal cues (voice change, pause) and two non-verbal cues (gestures, facial expressions) that reinforce a point during a presentation.
Select an appropriate visual or audio resource to support a given point of view on a familiar topic.
Deliver a short presentation (about one minute) on a chosen topic, using at least one visual resource and at least two non-verbal cues effectively.
Give constructive feedback to a peer on the use of resources and cues during a presentation.
