Learning Objectives
Indicator: B5.6.8.1.1 - Describe the purpose of Internet of Things.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define the Internet of Things (IoT) in their own words as a network of everyday objects connected to the internet.
- Explain the main purpose of IoT, which is to let devices collect, share, and act on data without human help.
- Describe how IoT makes everyday tasks easier, faster, or safer using at least two examples.
- Work in groups to discuss and present one example of IoT and explain its purpose to the class.
- Distinguish between a regular device and an IoT device by explaining what makes the IoT device “smart.”
