Learning Objectives

Indicator: B5.6.5.1.3 - Demonstrate downloading of files (e.g. pictures, audio, pdf etc.).

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Explain what it means to download a file and give at least three examples of downloadable file types (pictures, audio, PDF).
  2. Identify the common signs and symbols that indicate a downloadable file on a web page.
  3. Demonstrate the steps for downloading a picture, an audio file, and a PDF document from the internet.
  4. Locate and open a downloaded file from the Downloads folder or designated storage location on a device.
  5. State at least one safety rule to follow when downloading files from the internet.
