Learning Objectives
Indicator: B5.5.1.3.2 - Discuss the importance and uses of database.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- State at least four uses of databases in everyday life.
- Explain at least three reasons why databases are important to individuals and organisations.
- Give examples from their own community where databases are used to keep records.
- Discuss how database designers organise data to model real-life situations, such as school records or market inventories.
- Work in groups to present a short talk on how a particular local organisation uses a database.
